Bulls for sale Stirling February 2012
Netherton have five bulls entered for the Stirling Bull Sales in February of which four are sired by The Moss Mr Eshton D409 and the other is by Ardrossan Admiral A2.
The Moss Mr Eshton was purchased for 36,000gns in 2007 in partnership with Old Glenort Angus for his outstanding phenotype and pedigree, being a son of the top American bull Vermillion Dateline and out of DMM Miss Essence 22B the twice Canadian female of the year and founder of the famous Missie line at Netherton. He has bred extremely well being the sire of the 2009 Royal Highland Show Champion and the 2010 Winter National Cow Champion. His sons have sold to 13,000gns and his daughters to £25,000. Mr Eshton was Male Champion as a six year old at the Royal Highland Show in 2010. His performance is also impressive being in the top 5% for 200, 400 day growth, Rib fat, RBY, Terminal Index and Self Replacing Index.
Ardossan Admiral A2 is the outstanding outcross performance bull from Australia and has bred well for us. His calves have low birth weights and grow extremely well with good fleshing and legs while still retaining great breed character. Admiral's performance figures speak for themselves as he has the breed’s top value for gestation length and is in the top 1% for 200,400 day growth, EMA, Terminal Index and Self Replacing Index and top 5% for RBY and Rib fat.
